As a child, I read books while walking through the streets. Stories were more intriguing than reality, and to me, they felt real anyway. Later, words became images and sounds. I fell in love with movies at some point in the Nineties and even if I watched many films on a dingy old CRT TV in my neighbours’ house, I intuitively understood the power of Cinema.

After high school, I studied History and Philosophy in London, Paris and Berlin. But something was missing. So back I went in time to ask myself what I wanted to do. And movies were the only answer. After writing, directing, producing and editing various short films, I was accepted as a Master student in Michael Hanekes class at Film Academy Vienna in 2017.

I made one film under his tutorship, the short road movie Favoriten. It premiered in the prestigious Cinéfondation Selection of the 72nd Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for the German Short Film Award, the European Film Awards and the Austrian Film Prize. I eventually completed my M.A. in Directing in 2023 and I’m currently developing my feature film debut.

I also work in commercial (moving) image production and creation. These projects, where I usually operate the Camera myself, have enabled me to experiment aesthetically and given me a deeper understanding of what works on a screen, and what doesn’t.

I am a happily married husband and father, a passionate home Chef, I love making and drinking Coffee, Arsenal Football Club, Cameras and Headphones. I speak fluent English, German, French and Spanish and I live in my hometown Berlin, with frequent visits to my artistic home, Vienna.
